The Design Museum’s upcoming exhibition, ‘California’, offers the first survey of the current global reach of California’s mid-century modernism. Beginning with 1960s, the exhibition charts the journey from the counterculture to Silicon Valley’s tech culture.
Bringing together political posters, personal computers and self-driving cars, the exhibition examines how these objects, and their interactions with users, are shaping some of our most common daily experiences. The exhibition reveals how this culture of design and technology has made us all Californians.
